Students from Erik Jones’s advisory are hosting an informational dinner about art therapy 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8 in Room E-1.

The event will include presentations from an art therapist, art activities and food served at the beginning. Participants will be able to make their own art with supplies provided by the student organizers.

Art therapy is a creative method of expression that enhances the physical, mental and emotional well-being of people of all ages.

Spaghetti and fresh fruit will be sold for $3 during the event. For people who have specific dietary needs, contact Mickaela Del Pozo through the email provided below.

Tickets including both the meal and activities cost $2 pre-sale and $3 at the door. Pre-sale ticket sales will begin on Friday, May 3 during lunch in front of the library and will end on Tuesday, May 7.

All funds raised will be donated to an elephant sanctuary in Thailand as part of Jones’s advisory service-learning project.
