Intramural Sports Update

The intramural sports program at NP3 High School takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school at the blacktop by the gym.

Intramural sports recently created a basketball league called the Pirate Basketball Association.

All high school students were invited to try out for the league which had 50 spots available. Tryouts were held earlier this month and teams created for the term.

Currently, teams play against each other and not outside of the school.

“This is the first step to having sports in our school,” said Tiffany Lowery a 10th and 9th grade English teacher. “If all goes well this may lead us to be able to play against other schools in the near future.”

Practices this term are held on Tuesdays and games take place on Thursdays. Anyone is welcome to watch the games.

Questions about intramural sports should be directed to Jonathon Brinkmann and Tracie Dotson.
