Student on the Street: Why Join a Club?

During “club rush” held Friday, August 29, 2025,  The Pacific Times asked club officers: 

What is your club about and why should students join it?

Np3 Business Club

“We Prepare members for business competitions. People should join because it prepares them for a future in business, money management, and finance.”

Latinos Unidos

 “Our club is about Hispanic culture and creating a safe space for Latinos. In our club, we go to Hispanic community events and have potlucks. People should join because it allows students to connect with their Hispanic culture.” 

Care Crafts 

 “We make crafts that we donate to hospital patients . People should join so they could get volunteer hours and make an impact in the community.” 

Book Club 

“We meet every two weeks to discuss books that we’ve chosen as a group. We provide cookies at every meeting too, so join!”

NP3 Programmers Club

 “Our club is about teaching programming and building up to competitions. People should join because it is a good way to gain experience in this field and be introduced to basic programming.”

Women’s Empowerment Club

 “Our club is mainly about supporting women in our community by helping nonprofit organizations.  People should join because we provide a space where girls can be themselves and hang out.”
