The period that many schools are accepting applications ends this month or in February. As some seniors cram to submit their last applications and others are awaiting decisions, college applications seem to be the topic of many conversations. As the college application period ends, The Pacific Times asked seniors:

Which school or schools do you hope to get into and what do you hope to study?

Emily Pierson

“I’m thinking of the University of Portland, but if I get into Nursing at San Diego State University I might go there. I might also be interested in hearing from Loyola Chicago.”

Rudra Khalasi

“I want to go to a school like UC Davis for Computer Science. I haven’t decided if I will do just Computer Science or Computer Science Engineering yet.”

Esther Gantayat

“At the very least, I want to get into UC Davis or Cal Poly SLO, because I want to study pre-med like Biology or Biochemistry. I want to get my med degree and pass the MCAT.”

Harshan Heer

“I hope to get into at least one of the schools I applied to, since I only applied to places I wanted to go to. I applied to Davis, Berkeley, LA, San Diego, Irvine, USC, and U Mich, so I hope to just get into one of those. I hope to study Aerospace Engineering.”

Skyla Her

“I hope to get into all the universities that I applied to, and I hope to study Political Science and Economics. I think I’m most excited about UC Berkeley.”

Amaru Pineda

“Although it’s obviously a longshot, I would like to go to Stanford, but as far as local schools, probably UC Davis and UC Berkeley. Those are the two I have done the most research on. I would like to study Political Science.”

Aleena Iqbal

“I’m hoping to get into all the schools I applied to, specifically the UCs. The main UCs I like are UCLA, San Diego, Davis, and Berkely. I want to study something with Biology. For a lot of them I applied under either Biology or Neuroscience, and pre-med path.”

Kenny Ren

“I hope to study cinematography at UCLA because it is a top film school in the country.”
