Student Government is hosting a “New Year, New Ball” winter dance on Friday, January 23, from 7-10 p.m. in the school gymnasium.
The dance will feature food, a five-star-rated DJ, and a photo booth. Those who do not wish to dance can play board games.
The name of the dance was inspired by the New Year’s ball drop in Times Square.
“I’ve never gotten to experience a New Year-themed dance, and I wouldn’t want to miss out on something that could potentially be once in a lifetime! I’m excited to dress up and dance with my girls because this term can get tiring, and it’s nice to get out,” said junior Rhea Singh.
Tickets for the dance will be sold for $20 at the door and $18 for pre-sale on January 15 and 16. At the dance, baked goods will be sold for $1.
Sophomore Cali Kim said, “I’m excited to go because I get to take cute pictures with my friends and I get to have an excuse to dress up.”
