NP3 High students will not be returning to campus after fall break due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a letter sent home to parents, students will not be returning to campus after Fall Break. NP3 administrators had hoped to be able to return to some form of in-person learning after the fall break, however COVID-19 numbers remain too high to do so safely.
There is no current estimation for when students will be able to return back to campus, according to Principal Melissa Mori.
“We continue to monitor state and county data and guidance and will communicate with our families as new information is available,” said Mori.
Students at Np3 High have been frustrated with some aspects of distance learning but, in general, said they miss being able to see their friends on campus.
“I don’t mind continuing with online school, but I would like to see my friends,” said Dilvir Sivia, a junior.
Some students mentioned that being off campus is probably better in the long run, even if they want to see their friends or return to the normal schedule
“I think it’s for the better. We don’t know if students’ family members will be low or high risk… Sure this isn’t the best situation and not what people want, but it’s for the better,” said Aidan Grover, a junior.
