Academic Advising Nights scheduled next week will help prepare NP3 High School students for the upcoming school year.
The online-only events will be run by school counselors and include break-out sessions for 8th through 11th graders.
“We want families to be educated and informed regarding their choices and it is important to provide time for them to ask questions as well,” NP3 High Principal Melissa Mori said. “ It is a great way for students and parents to learn about course offerings and new opportunities that are offered at each grade level.”
The meeting for the current 9th graders is set for 5:30 p.m. on March 10. The current 8th grader meeting is planned for 6 p.m. on March 10. The meeting for the current 10th and 11th graders is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on March 11.
This year it will be online due to COVID-19. Students and families will be able to find the Zoom link to Academic Advising Night on the Captain’s Log, in high school advisory Google Classrooms and middle school Pirate Press. The link will be posted the week prior to the event.
The night will be run by the counselors who are putting together the presentations and videos that will be shown for Academic Advising Night.
“Counselors are going pretty in depth over scheduling since everything is digital this year,” NP3 High counselor Lindsey Ulrich said. “We have new information about ARC Dual Enrollment courses that will be shared, along with updated AP information.”
Another one of NP3 High’s counselors Kelly Clancey will be going over College App info and some summer opportunities for incoming senior students.
