Np3 High’s UNICEF and Explore the Middle East Club held an event for Np3 High students to watch the documentary, “Gaza Fights for Freedom,” to fundraise for children in need and to make care packages for the refugees.
The documentary shows the conflict and horrors happening in the Gaza strip, which is now controlled by Egypt.
The conflict in Gaza relates to the Palestinian and Israel Conflict in which Israel took over all the disputed territories, including Palestine.
The leader of both clubs thought this event was a good way to show students what is happening around the world and to earn money for people in need.
UNICEF sold pizza to fundraise for children in need and Explore the Middle East club sold baklava, a middle eastern dessert, and tea to fundraise for supplies they will be making for refugees.
