The NP3 Mock Trial completed its third round of competition on Feb. 10.
“After this round, I feel confident in our team’s ability…to become one of the top teams,” Naqiya Aalam shared. “We have our ups and downs and the way we’ve dealt with them has made the team a lot stronger than before.”
NP3 Mock Trial’s defense team competed against the prosecution team of Sacramento Country Day School.
The team met briefly after the competition to share their thoughts and feelings. It was mentioned that the defense team had improved from their last round of competition.
“I have confidence in our wonderful varsity team, I know there are things to improve but we will get there with practice,” Aalam added. “It’s a very pleasant experience.”
The team will now prepare for the next round of competition, which will take place on Feb. 17.
After round four, if NP3 Mock Trial is ranked among the top eight teams out of 14, the team will go on to compete in the quarterfinals.
NP3 Mock Trial is currently in 6th place. The team split ballots with Sacramento Country Day.
