The NP3 High School Book Club is holding weekly gift card raffle drawings to encourage reading — and attract more students to their club.
“Our goal is to ultimately encourage more students to read,” junior Chloe Durham said.
According to Durham, the Book Club will hold raffle drawings until the end of January. So far, there have been four winners, all of whom received gift cards as a prize. The gift cards are from Barnes and Noble, Target, Amazon and more.
“We are still unsure as to if we will make this raffle an annual event but we will see,” said Durham.
To enter the raffle, students must finish reading a book and print their name on a slip. Entry in the raffle is free and students sign up in room C-2. Winners are picked every Friday and the results are announced through the loud speaker from the office.
