The Learning Center is an after school tutoring program offered through the Wellness Center, that offers a quiet environment for students to study, read, or just hang out in general.
“It’s a great opportunity for students to get their work done and to work in a relatively quiet space,” said Mikayla Deitz, who oversees the center.
Dietz said the counselors also think the Wellness Center is amazing and are constantly looking for opportunities to advertise it.
Students were also desperate for the Wellness Center to open up again, according to Dietz, because it is a great place to collect yourself and to receive help for school.
One thing Dietz is trying to add to the center is sessions to help students prepare students for their driving test to get their driver’s license.
The Wellness Center is a place where many students go to feel safe and supported, said Dietz.
The Wellness Center is open during school hours and after school. To learn more, contact the school librarian, Jennifer Pennington, or Mikayla Dietz at [email protected].
