Recently, NP3 High’s Drama Club released a film called, “10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse.”
Traditionally, when we were in-person school, Drama Club would stage an after school play. The film’s planning, acting, and editing all took place virtually due to distance learning
Dram Club co-presidents Noble Mahan and Jaclyn Nguyen read the play “10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse” about a year ago and then forgot about it. Fast forward to August 2020 when the two were brainstorming about the films for the club, they thought of “10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse” because they thought it would be easy to duplicate the play into a film.
Auditions were held in August. That kickstarted the script writing. Throughout September, October, and November club members worked on filming, reshooting and editing the film. During Thanksgiving break, final touches were made and the film was ready to be released.
Drama Club hopes NP3 High students will watch their film.
“NP3 students should watch this film for a few reasons. First, our Drama Club members worked so hard on it and they are all very talented and deserve to let their talents shine,” said Mahan. “And I want students to see that just because there is a pandemic, it doesn’t mean everything has to stop; Drama Club and all other clubs can keep going and keep making amazing projects.”
