The NP3 Mock Trial team had their final scrimmage of the year with Acalanes High School on Jan. 26.
Scrimmages are practice rounds held between mock trial teams of different schools, as preparation for competition season.
After the Jan. 23 scrimmage, the NP3 Mock Trial team debriefed. Members felt that the team had definitely improved from where it was weeks ago.
“I think we have a really strong team on both sides and it’s remarkable to see these teammates you thought were doing so well before, continuously eclipse their previous performances,” said Alina Susu, a member of the Mock Trial team. “We’ve all been sacrificing many hours for this group effort and I believe that’ll be showcased in our future competitions.”
During the scrimmage, the NP3 Junior Varsity Mock Trial members actively took notes on what members in the scrimmage did well, and what they could improve on.
The team discussed what to work on during their practice on Monday.
Staci Osborn, teacher coach of the NP3 Mock Trial team, suggested that members with glasses adjust the screen light of their devices so the light does not reflect off of their glasses, becoming a distraction.
Members also shared their individual goals on what they were hoping to work on this week, to improve their performance by competitions.
The NP3 Mock Trial team has its first two rounds of competitions on Feb. 2 and 4.
