Approved student clubs are set to participate in NP3 High’s annual club rush scheduled for Sept. 9 in the quad during advisory and lunch.

All student clubs, and NP3 teams including Drama Club and Journalism, will have a chance to participate and have a booth at the event.

There are 18 returning clubs including Refugee Resettlement and Relief Club, UNICEF Club, Community Volunteering/Neighborhood Friendly Youth, STEM Society, Soles and Smiles, Sikh Honors and Service Society, Latinos Unidos, Asian American Pacific Islander Club, Black Student Union, Muslim Student Association, American Sign Language Club, Sexuality and Gender Alliance (formerly known as Queer Straight Alliance), Project: Mending Minds (formerly known as NAMI or National Alliance on Mental Illness), Animal and Environmental Club, Chess Club, Pi-rates, Creative Writing Club and Art Club.

There are five new clubs which include Operation Smile, Women’s Empowerment Club, Thrift Club, SWORD Games Club and Book Club.

Club rush is an annual tradition put on by NP3 High School’s student government where students can showcase their clubs and what they do for students. In addition to learning more about each club, student may also sign up to join at club rush.

NP3’s club application process was open Aug. 15-18. To become a club, there must be at least one student leader, an advisor, meeting place, student interest petition, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. Student clubs went through an approval process and were voted on by student government.

Club meeting times can be found here.
