Two of NP3 High’s competitive teams are set to hold tryouts for new members next week.
The Robotics teams finished their competition season on March 10 at the regional competition, where Team A and Team C made it to the round of 16 match. Team E won the Inspire Award, an award given to the team that inspired the judges with their approach to robotics.
By the end of the competition season, the team had won a total of 10 awards, the most awards won during one robotics competition season.
“I really enjoyed the memories my team and I made, and also the things that I learned along the way as a first year,” said Team E member Kaylee Chouang. “I felt really accomplished when we won the award because it made all of our challenges worth it. I’m excited to see the next game challenge and have a fresh start.”
The Robotics team is set to compete at their final tournament in Chico on Saturday, May 4.
The Dance team went to nationals on March 22. They placed second in Championship Large Military, third in Championship Novelty and Dance/Drill, and seventh in Championship Medium Hip Hop out of 28 teams. After nationals, the dancers went to their annual Disneyland trip to celebrate the end of the competition season.
This season was the first time the Military routine placed as finalist.
The Dance Team and Robotics Team are holding tryouts during the week of April 29.
