Lit Fest Set for Friday, May 17

Literary Journal Club is hosting an author and literary event at Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep on Friday, May 17. 

The event will include local authors Denise Nichol Andrews and Jennifer Morita, as well as the organization Sacramento Youth Area, Speaks. 

The guest speakers plan to recite pieces of their literary work and talk about their journeys as authors or aspiring writers. The event will also include a book-selling and signing event, a Q&A with the authors, and an open mic for the audience to share any of their own pieces. 

The book signing will take place in the Wellness Center and the author talk and open mic will be held in Melissa Ciubal’s room from 3:35-7 p.m. 

The event will be open to the community, however, community members must check in at the front office with Giao Villalobos upon arriving on campus

Food will be available to purchase from Mykonos Gyros at the event.
