NP3 students will be taking Advanced Placement tests from May 4-15, 2026, on campus.
AP classes are college-level courses taken during high school. The College Board designs these college-level courses to provide academic rigor and are weighted on a 5.0 scale.
NP3 offers 16 AP courses in six subjects covering topics such as history, government, sciences, art, and language arts.
“I’m taking AP (Biology). I did like the class as the content was really interesting,” said senior Eshal Shahid. “I’m preparing for the test by doing a lot of practice exams. AP Bio is a lot more about the application of what you learned than just learning details.”
A score of 3 or higher earned from the exam can earn college credit and allow students to skip intro-level courses at thousands of colleges and universities across the U.S.
“In AP (Chemistry), we’ve been doing a lot of practice exams like the practice multiple choice, practice free response, and the final, which was almost the length of a full exam,” said AP Chemistry teacher Teresa Huang. “Then we’re doing some tips and tricks today in class. A piece of advice I would give to a student is to go in well-rested.”
According to College Board website, the fee to take AP exams was $99 and due on November 14, 2025, for full-year and first-term courses, and on March 13, 2026, for second-term courses.
“I prepare my students for the Seminar test by assigning them sample tests and giving them lots of feedback. For Sem, the students don’t need to do extra studying,” said AP Seminar teacher Katie Durham. “My advice to all students taking any AP test is to completely understand the structure of the test they are taking. Each rubric has very specific requirements, and the students need to follow them exactly.”
Added senior Sydney Duong, “I’m taking AP (Computer Science). I’m preparing for the test by using my online sources. The AP classroom has been a huge help with subject matters that I didn’t get.”
”Also, I’m working on my create task for the test, which helped to refresh my mind on some aspects of coding that I forgot from the previous term.”
