NP3 senior Tanu Notra has volunteered at the Front Street Animal Shelter for some time.
But she wanted to do more to help the dogs and cats at the shelter. That is why she is collecting pet supplies and food for the Front Street Animal Shelter for her senior project.
Notra hosted a tutorial last week, Feb. 11 and 12 for NP3 students to learn about how the donated items will help animals at the shelter. She spoke about the services that the shelter provides, such as free adoption days and the ability to take a dog out of the shelter for a day to see if it would be a good fit for the potential new owner.
During the tutorial, Notra also discussed the jobs done at the shelter and facts such as it a no-kill shelter.
The shelter, she said, needs donations to continue to provide the care that it currently gives the animals. Donating here can help not only just the dogs and cats, but Tanu and her senior project.
Needed items include:
- Dog and cat food
- Blankets and baby blankets
- Unscented baby wipes
- Heating pads
- Dryer sheets
- Puppy/Kitten replacement milk
- Dog/Cat toys
Donations can be put in the box in advisory classrooms or the box in the front office. All supplies that are to be donated need to be brought to school by Friday, Feb. 21.
