College application workshops have been offered to NP3 seniors Thursdays after school throughout the fall term.

These workshops provide a space for students to work on their college applications and essays. Students are free to walk in and stay for as long as needed.

NP3 High counselors are present during workshops to offer students advice as well as feedback on their college essays. The counselors organized these workshops to provide support for students working on their college applications.

Students who have attended these workshops said the workshops are helpful.

“Our counselors at NP3 have provided me with lots of assistance on my college plan,” said senior Antonio Samayoa. “I know what my goal is in my academic career, but I’m not sure how to get there. They have given us that privilege.”

The Oct. 18 workshop focused on UC, CSU and Common App applications. The next College Application Workshop is planned for tutorial on Nov. 5 and 6 followed by our Last College Application tutorial on Nov. 21.

Students who plan to attend community college are encouraged to attend to learn about the application process. Registration workshops for these students will be held in the spring.
