The NP3 Mock Trial team completed round 2 of their virtual competitions on Feb. 4.

“I thought it went really well,” said Haley Alyssa Rose, a sophomore member of NP3 Mock Trial team who competed on Feb. 4. “We had spent the Wednesday before round two REALLY preparing the defense’s side of the case.”

NP3 Mock Trial’s defense team competed against Vista Del Lago’s prosecution team.

The team met after the competition to share immediate thoughts and reactions.

The team later found that it won round 2 of competitions, and it is now ranked in 4th place out of 14 teams.

“Most of us had actually stayed on an extra two hours practicing,” Rose said. “So I think that devotion and drive really caused us to be more confident walking into round two!”

NP3 Mock Trial plans to have two more practices before their next competition round, which will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

At press time, it had not been released whether NP3’s defense or prosecution will compete the next round.
